We still have some free places available on the forthcoming First Aid course being run by the Track Commission .The course will take place next Saturday the 6th of December in the Sport Hall within the grounds of Presentation Bray (same venue as the sign on for the Shay Elliott prior to it moving to the new Bray Club Hse.)

Martin Gill was never a man for convention. He is a characteristically suicidal cyclist who jumps at the oddest of occasions in races but there are times when persistance pays off. Martin held his head on Patricks day in the support race to the Carrick Cup and came in an excellent 4th place. With Patricks 6th last week, Conors close presence following illness and Martins confidence boosting result on Patricks day the stage is set for an excellent Gorey. The fourth member of the team, Mark, is in steady training and with his wealth of experience we can only wait in anticipation to see the impact this team of four can achieve. Well done Martin, keep it up!

And again on Sunday in weather that can only be described as wet Martin came in with a reasonable result in 10th place. He was pipped at the post for 9th by Alex Williams of SCC who showed his natural strength by bridging the gap up to this middle group.

Conor has suffered with illness recently and has just completed a weeks training in Lanzarote. This race is surely a sign of things to come for Conor but remember, it’s a long season.

Martin Gill came in 5th place in this race and showed well being in a 4 man break for most of the race but being caught on Cranfort hill on the second circuit. The eventual winner was Frank Dunne SCC (sigh!). It’s like the season never stopped!
