Ardattin 200 & 3 Peaks Challenge
For those who intended to both of the above events, unfortunately, there is a clash of dates and both are listed for Sunday 1st April.
There appears to be more interest among club members in the 3 Peaks, given its closer location etc. Unless,
of course, like Philp Nugent, you are reported to be looking for a point on the map where the routes cross and you can give the new bike a good try out by doing both.

Ardrattin 200
Several Memebrs will participate in the Ardrattin 200 on April 1st.
The Ardattin 200 is an Audax event using roads mainly in Wicklow and a small section of Carlow. The route has been designed to avoid any serious climbing while the routesheet is easy to follow, making this event an ideal introduction to Audax or an ideal first 200k for the year.
There will be 3 controls on the day at 69k, 113k and 167k.
- The first and last control will be on the side of the road where there will be water and refreshments available.
- The middle control will be a sit down control in The Ardattin Inn and there will be a separate charge for this (usually 6 euro) for tea, soup and sandwiches. This charge will be collected at sign-on and anyone not wishing to partake will still be able to obtain water and refreshments.
Entry fee is 5 euro. Please send entry fee and application form (download here) to organiser beforehand and the routesheet will be forwarded to you prior to event. Anyone signing on the line will be charged 8 euro, and this facility will be closing at 07.45hrs to ensure a prompt start.
The start is from Bray Wheelers Clubhouse with showers available at finish along with refreshments.
Insurance IS required but Cycling Ireland day licences are available on the day (10 euros). Audax Club Parisien medals can be ordered by finishers at a cost of 5 euros.
Entries to Paul O Donoghue, 12 Tinnapark, Kilpedder, Co Wicklow.
